Chris Pine Might Be ‘Unstoppable’

With one massive Hollywood summer Blockbuster under his belt (that kind of sounds dirty, actually) “Star Trek” star Chris Pine is reportedly in talks to appear alongside Denzel Washington in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming “Unstoppable.” Scheduled for release next summer, the film is set to be directed by the legendary Tony Scott (“The Taking of Pelham 123,” “Top Gun”) with shooting to begin this August.

According to Variety.com, the film will feature Pine as “A young conductor who jumps into a locomotive with an experienced engineer (Washington) in chase of a runaway train that carries a cargo of toxic chemicals.” The story is described as being “loosely inspired” by real events.

Pine is said to have decided on “Unstoppable” over many other offers after a dinner meeting with Washington and Scott last Tuesday.
